We had a day's rest from our NY trip and then we headed to the great outdoors with our friends the Louk's. There were boys everywhere, as the Louk's have all boys too!! The boys LOVED camping, despite their parents total lack of camping savvy. The first day we got camp all set up
and got the fire going so that we could cook our foil dinners. Dinner turned out great (thanks to Jeremy). The men (all 7 of them) went on a search for firewood and then we bunkered down in our tents for some coastal thundershowers. The rain wasn't a total downer though because we had a little WWF knockdown in our tent. The storm passed and we cooked some smores on the fire...yummy! The next day we took a ferry over to Martha's Vineyard.

It was so beautiful. We took a bus to Edgartown and walked down to the shore and saw The Edgartown Light. We 
didn't see much of the island but what we did see was beautiful. The homes were fabulous and the sunset that we took in on the ferry ride back to the cape was gorgeous. Spence and the boys rode the oldest carousel in the United States of America. We had 
dinner and just loved being on Martha's Vineyard!
The next morning we cooked a hot breakfast while the boys went in search of more firewood. That was a thrilling event for my boys. I think Truman liked being in the woods a little too much. We caught him running down a nearby path barefoot and pant less. 
He was so happy just running free and getting really, really dirty.
We packed up camp on day three (2 nights in a tent was good for us) and started for home. But not before going swimming at the pool.
Taede, Talmage, & Truman went down the slide with Dad.
It was a being feat because the slide went into the deep end! After swimming we stopped at a race track that was on the way home & went go-carting! All the boys loved it and Spence and I got a little too competitive with our driving. Not really, but it was a lot of fun.
