The weather is warming up here and this Saturday we had to get out!
We decided that we would see where and how sap is collected from the Maple trees. We drove west for about an hour to Uxbridge for the last week end of the maple sugar harvest in the Blackstone Valley. We saw how the trees were tapped,
tasted sap right from the tree, saw how the sap is boiled down for use, and tasted yummy maple goodies. The boys and I even got a wagon ride. All of this Saturday fun was absolutely free (except for the maple spread
that the boys talked me into buying...oh and the Dunkin
Donuts that we snagged for the drive home). We missed daddy, who was being ever so studious.
