Spencer got some great tickets from a friend at the hospital for the Red Sox vs. Yankee's game, so we got a sitter and went to the game...all by ourselves! It was a great night. A perfect night for baseball. We chowed down on hot dogs & cracker jacks and refilled out $4.00 watter bottle in the drinking fountain. Of course, because it would only happen to us, we ended up missing the best part of the game.
It was getting close to 11:00 p.m. and our great friend was at our place sitting with our sleeping kids. We didn't want to keep her out all night and the Sox
were down in the 7th inning. We decided that if they didn't score in the 8th inning we would leave. We had to ride the subway home and that
takes awhile, even longer on a game day we anticipated. So...no score in the 8th inning. We grabbed our stuff and headed home. We waited forever for the train and just as we stepped on people started saying "The Sox just hit a 2-run homer!" Really?!!
