It's September!

It's also time for another school year to begin. Taede will be entering 1st grade, Talmage will be in a Pre-Kindergarten preschool class, & Truman will be participating in Joy School with his mama. This year we started a new tradition (can't take credit for the idea, I've seen a number of other families do it) the Back to School Banquet. The boys wrote their goals for the school year on paper that will adorn a wall in the kitchen for the entire school year. They got to pick the menu: sparkling limeade, BBQ'd Ribs, homemade cornbread, twice baked potatoes, & Caesar salad...with chocolate caramel apples for dessert (that will be desert every year). Following dinner, we took our full bellies into the living room and Spencer gave each of the boys a father's blessing. It was beautiful and the boys were beaming. We're ready for the 2009-2010 school year. Bring it on. I'm so ready.
