{Quotable Truman}

Just to quickly preface this conversation.  Turman is our resident rocker.  He. Loves. Music.   And looking in the mirror (but that's a conversation for another time). Anyway, I think he thinks about music a lot and becoming a serious, very famous, rock star (with a bit of a country vibe).  He randomly divulged this pertinent information to me after lunch one day:

Truman:  "Mom.  I know why the background singers have to sing in songs."

Me:  "Why is that Tru?"

Truman:  "Because the lead singer has to swallow his spit."

Genius.  In all of his practicing he came to the conclusion that it is hard to sing with too much spit in your mouth.  Your on your way buddy.  On your way.
