Tenely's 1st Birthday!

The princess of the family turned ONE. She started the day with donuts for breakfast, enjoyed watching her brothers play football (what girl doesn't love that?), and enjoyed a sandwich lunch. Then we took a drive northward to Hot Springs Campground on the Payette River. Hot sun & a beautiful clear day, warm water flowing from the side of the mountain, cool refreshing mountain water. It was a great day and Tenny loved splashing around. We stayed for a couple of hours then stopped at Chic-fil-a for dinner on the way back home. Tenley opened presents and had birthday cake (the first pink cake for this family!!).

The river water wasn't as warm as the hot spring water...

Truman found his own personal spring.

We can't imagine our lives without this little angel baby. She adores her brothers and they adore her. The first thing I see when I open her door in the morning is a bright, shining smile. She loves to give hugs. She eats like a champ and is walking like crazy. She has never crawled and up until she started walking, would "scoot" on her little bottom to get where she needed to go.
She brings the sweetest spirit into our home and I am grateful everyday for her.

On a side note: The lovely bandage that Tenny is donning is due to a burn the occurred the day before her birthday. I was baking her cake, took a phone call about Taggart's eye's (another story on it's own), meanwhile, the timer for the cake went off. One of my sweet boys (who shall remain nameless) decided to take the cake out of the oven for me. He successfully took the cake out without burning himself...however, he left the oven door opened and little miss tried to pull herself up to see inside. Needless to say, she burned her hands pretty terribly. Thankfully, she miraculously only cried for a relatively short time and has done wonderfully ever since. Her hands seem to be healing quite well. Yet another beautiful blessing of the priesthood in our home.
