I love Conference Weekend! It's just such a wonderful time to hear the Prophet speak and to get so much valuable council and direction all in one weekend. One other great thing is that we usually get Spencer the whole weekend (he only had a few hours of studying this weekend :) Recently, we have started a tradition of setting up the boys little tent in the front room so that they can watch, and color, and hopefully be somewhat attentive. (Thanks to so many of you who sent over the conference packet for the boys. Taede and Talmage have really loved it.) I think that the tent and the story of King Benjamin, makes the experience different and hopefully something to look forward to instead of dread. In between sessions on Saturday we went to a little farm in Lexington (pictured :Jack,the boys' cute friend! ).jpg)
(thanks to my friend Mary for the info!) where they had baby ducks, bunnies, a pig, goats, and chickens for the kids to touch and look at. The New England Aquarium also brought some starfish, crabs, and other swimming things for the kids to touch. As you can see from the pictures, Spring has not "sprung" quite yet here, thus the coats, and we probably shouldn't plan on it until late May! Taede, of course, thought the farm was great and was trying to pick up everything. Talmage thought it was cool for about 5 minutes and then was done. And Truman really like to see the animals, but wasn't too keen on touching them. He did gather up the courage to touch a few of the really little animals, however.

Every time we go to one of these little farms it makes me laugh because I really wouldn't have associated Boston with farming. But there are tons of little farms all over, and they are absolutely beautiful. It is pretty weird having conference at 12:00 and 4:00 and Spencer not going to the Priesthood session until 8:00. I'm so grateful for modern technology that allows us to participate even though we are not in the mother land! Hope it has been a great weekend for all! We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet!
