Let's go fly a kite!

Today was, well how Taede put it in the dinner prayer tonight, splendid! It was a beautiful day and we went to the park for a picnic and some kite flying with our friends (Annie and her four darling children almost the same ages as our boys). This park is great; there is a huge grassy area, a small, shallow creek, & a playground.

We bought these kites yesterday at the store for like $2.99 and it was worth every penny! The boys, particularly Taede and Talmage, are enthralled with them. The kids each took a turn flying the kites and then we ventured over to the creek. Tae lost his shoe in the water, which caused me to go running (yes, running...I can still do that...sort of) into the water to catch it before it went under a bridge and into the endless abyss of who knows where. It was such a fun day.

I think days like this must be the "moments" that Elder Ballard was referring to. Just...wonderful.
