We had such a wonderful Saturday afternoon at the Cranberry Festival in Wareham, MA. Near Cape Cod, the Tihonet Village of the A.D. Makepeace Company, has thousands of acres of land where they grow and harvest cranberries. It is a non-profit event so it only cost us $4 to get in and some great folks gave us a few unused tickets as they were leaving the festival...so the boys got pony rides too!

It was interesting to learn more about how the berries are grown and harvested. We got to watch them take them right out of the bogs and load them into the

trucks. The boys had a great time playing on the huge sand hill, watching an owl exhibtor, making thier own "bog in a cup", and of course enjoying festival food (deep fried oreos!?! Yum.).
