{Quotable Talmage}

Recently, Spencer was using some tools to dismantle our old brick fireplace hearth.  Talmage was sitting criss-cross applesauce with his hands on his chin quietly observing Spencer.  Truman wandered up the the following conversation followed:

Truman: "Talmage let's go play battle".

Talmage: Silence, no response.

Truman: "Talmage!  Let's go outside and play battle. Come on!"

Talmage: "SHHHH Truman!  I learning how to be a Dad."

I almost started crying at the sweet sincerity of Talmage's response.  They love their Daddy.  I do too.
